I bought mine at Fleetpride on 321. They used to carry Monroe, but that was a few years ago. I replaced every shock on the truck before I ever made the first trip, including cab shocks.

KONI , they'll last a lifetime! If they last on our crap roads they will last anywhere ! They'll also improve ride quality -
Just my opinion.: Bad Shocks alone are not a problem causeing cupping but allows cupping to happen.
Good shocks help prevent cupping caused by other problems such as wheels out of balance or tires out of round or wheel bearing problems or broken belts or ect.
I just can not see how a bad shock alone can cause a tire to cup.
But hey please educate me, I'm open to learning. -
A bad shock could do it no problem, I saw a new truck with a burst left shock cup the tyres, if the wheel is constantly hopping over bad surfaces it will cup the tyre in no time at all, especially if there is a camber on the road where the wheel isn't exactly straight when it's running on bad surface, it will tear chunks out of the tyres! other factors can help it along but I've seen a new truck do it with no wear anywhere Else,

That's cool as f##k! I got a s1000rr BMW , got it a few months ago and still haven't had a proper spin on it yet! Any day I get off lately it seems to be raining like hell, our trucks are too short to get a bike on the catwalk ( about 12 inches between back of cab and fridge motor) I'd love to have mine with me down around the alpine roads, would be very nice given all the time I seem to have lately waiting for loads. Id love to see how u set up that sissor lift!Flightline Thanks this.

What brand of tire are we talking about?

They are General.
Tire was not cupping as bad as I thought.
Had a few small chunks out of it.
I really did a thorough inspection and they didn't look too bad.
I did replace shocks today. Passenger side was bad, driver side still popped out on its on.
Greased everything up, really greased the fith wheel.
Has a little shimmy in the steering wheel.
I will run a few with the new shocks and see what happens.

According to how bad the shimmy is, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have the steers trued and balanced to prevent any wear on the tie rod ends, king pins, and steering shaft u-joints. The constant shaking will really speed up wear on these parts.
