It's always better to go to a job you enjoy instead of going to one you hate. Just make sure you have enough funds to cover the transition. I recommend having around 6 months of wages stashed in the bank to cover your living expenses. That's after school. If you have no income while you're in school then you'll need more.

So I guess I better start asking question now. I'm trying to get the ball rolling and have all my stuff in order prior to getting out of school. I keep seeing the term "Pre-hire letter". What exactly is this and is it important? I've got a company in mind for after graduation but should I apply prior to or how does that work. Again I understand these are probably questions that have been nailed into the ground over and over again. I Just dont wanna be ignorant to proper procedures as to how to really get on board so to speak. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Prehire is merely an invitation to come to orientation. You won't be official until all training is done.
Apply to as many as you want. I got 2 prehires the first time I went OTR, Stevens and Werner. Since back then ( 1998 ) Stevens flew recruits in and I wasn't feeling a 2-3 day busride, I chose Stevens.BIGDADDYBEAR Thanks this.
