You will always have strong winds in Montana. That, big sky, and movie stars is about all that's there. And I can tell you, with years of driving in snow - I have seen a flake or two in Alaska - that "slow, careful driving" will always do the trick and keep you between the white lines. Never, EVER think your skill will get the best of Mother Nature. She will always win. :biggrin_2552:

Well we got here to springmo. On the way here on us 30 in idaho/wyoming deer headed north decides to do an aboutface and bang its head on my headlight. Got to springmo late on sat evening had dinner with trainer. It is kinda strange to be saying good bye. We have been on the same truck for 3 months and have a lot of respect for each other. So like we both said we are ready for some solo running but it is going to be weird not having anyone around.

Got my stuff out of his truck. Scanned in the last trip and then went to the sim lab for my skills test. i was really worked up about it. I do not like the unknown and I was really anxious about the sim thing. Well it was no big deal. I completed it in 7min 49 sec and only looked one time cause I wasn't able to get a feel for my trailer in the mirrior as far as length went. Once I saw it no bigge. So here I am waiting for class to start at 13:00.

I promised I wouldn't but I'm hitting the streets looking for the perfect cup o' coffee. Gator, I'm wearing shorts if you have a chance to say hello.

yep. I am stoked. If I did not have the support of my FM, trainer, Instructor I would have gone company. But I come from business world and any business is about controlling cost. I can do that but the industry is different.

Get them costs in line right away. You've got about 4-5 weeks before the Jan-Mar slow down.

It hasnt been as bad the last couple years as it was in 2008 into 2009, but it does slow down.

thanks U2 I have a plan for it. I live on a budget and keep 4 to 6 months in the bank. So I should be OK

You need to start a new thread and chronicle your day-to-day learning events so we all can feel the frustrations and successes as up-close-and-personal as possible. Since that is what I am considering more and more, hearing from another new L/O would be very beneficial

You just said in another thread that you were not going to drive. Can't you make up your mind. Are you going to be one of those who just wast Prime money and time and go there and then go home.:biggrin_25516:
