I can not speak for anyone else but I know my hubby has not sat for more than maybe 15 hours all month, maybe hes just been lucky or he is holding his mouth the right way or being very professional when he arrives not sure but what ever it is it is working. And Yes Doc he told me he met you in Ind. you were going west and he was going east, he did get a load out of NC to Tampa for his home time, his once a month days off WoHOO:biggrin_25525: Hope everyone had a great turkey day stay safe

Yea who knows. How some sit for hrs and some don't. I find it hard to believe its less then 15 hrs. But never know. I know my self I was told to hurry up and get to grand island, sat there for 34.5 hrs. Sat for 12.5 hrs in shelbeyville, in. Sat in okc, ok for 27 hrs. I guess its the luck of the draw. Those are just the past few weeks that I can remember. But I'm sure there's more. But yea I think its the luck of the draw sometimes. Just like this current trip its a total of 2079 miles. I will be close to the drop spot, on sunday evening and yet it don't deliver till tuesday. So I will be sitting again.

I don't think I'm being a tool. I'm being truthful. But I respect your opinion. If you are going to have something to complain about let it be valid. If I was his dispatcher I would send him up Chattanooga. Get a load going to Texas, From Texas he would go to Louisville. From Louisville. To all points in Florida. Thats just what I would do. To stop the crying. At least you were man enough to quit when you wearn't getting what you needed. Instead of constantly cry about it. Things are not always going to go the way we want it. THAT'S LIFE. But some people are not built for that. Deuces!!!

Rah Rah Cheer cheer. Kicking up my leg!! LOL

Just a side note. Was 177 miles from Worthington when I got my pre plan picking up in Marshalltown IA. Delivering just 2miles from my house. I forgot my home time was in for tuesday. I tried to get them to cancel hometime due to wife may be having surgery. But they didn't plus I didn't want to wait till Sunday to pick it up.

Got to Marshalltown after going through the woods from I 90 and Load is ready. And I'm headed to the house. Wifey's appt is wednesday, So I may go ahead and leave out monday after this load delivers just incase her ankle needs surgery and I can get back in time.

Just to help folks with my People are not built for ..... I'm not BUILT FOR TANKER YANKING. I can bareley breath in the fumes from a gas fill up. Let alone go to refineries and breath in that smell. I'm not BUILT for flat bedding. I don't trust my skills of tarping or tieing down loads. I was scared as heck to put my bike in the back of a pick up truck and bring it to oklahoma. How It made it. I don't Know. Local work I'M NOT BUILT FOR . Dealing with traffic everyday and blind side backing on busy streets trying to get into business to deliver. No thank you. I can handle doing it 2 or 3 times a week on the road but every day.. I don't think so. I'm not BUILT FOR Regional. Getting loads that only deliver 200 or 300 miles and sitting and waiting till they open the next day. Or Not getting better loads because I have limited my places I can run. Give me the miles baby. That's what I'm Built for. Trucking the OTR way. Now wifey may have me built for local and regional soon. But until Then. I'M BUILT THE JBS WAY. WE TRUCK TRUCKIN IT UP. Rah rah Rah

Tankerman if you are not delivering to some big grocery warehouse. You might be able to deliver that early. Just one of the good things about hauling produce.

Last post to clarify there hazmat. Doc holiday can attest to this. Jbs reads these post. Back in the summer I voiced my opinion and of the truth as to what was happenin, got told on the phone by dispatch in regional office after I was voicing my displeasure of my a/c out for the 2nd time in a week of 107 degrees, that I was awful frustrated lately an that I might want to find another job. I never said anything to anyone even on the qcom about being frustrated-ONLY HERE! I was repeatedly given shatty loads till I started cheerleading.I embelished some as well. My wife encouraged me to hold my tounge here and at work to get home and for the holidays especially since we found out my daughters fiance' that's in the 8th marines,Camp Lejune NC as a radioman/rifleman in an infantry unit, is going to helmund province afghanistan jan 7th the day b4 my daughters birthday.I did that till recently. Now that I have been voicing my opinion here again it has started back, when I voiced it on qcom it has worsened. This is the second weekend in a row I have had to work-tom I have a 126 mile run that del on sun morn and I can't go home its 130 miles oor. Last weekend same shat! I took this job knowing it would have crappy days every week but 4 or 5 crappy days out of 6 and not get home on sunday. I hear em- they want me to shut up or quit. Me voicing my opinion might keep em from hiring a new cheerleader for .32cpm but hell even rookies on regional start at .45cpm,same as me. Ok I understand I will just move on,just wanted to clarify before I do. As tankerman said reefers aren't for everyone. I haven't, however, seen any lowlifes pullin chem tanks-u know the kind I mentioned a few pages back. Seems they are better dressed, not verbally or gramatically challenged and seem more educated. Me having a criminal justice degree might fit in there better. And no I'm not being arrogant just stating I might want to talk some philosaphy in the break room of a chem tank co versus holding my nose and tryin to figure out what language someone is speaking at a reefer or van/flatbed co break room. I might not get hired by one of those fine establishments,I will do a better research job hunting next time though. I wish ups would hire me and I would never get in a big truck again, might check on that! Anyhoo u professionals AND steering wheel holding posers keep on keepin on....... What was that? Oh I hear el surgio callin gotta run.

jlind, tankerman1974 and DocHoliday Thank this.
