I once thought of Paper Transport as a company I'd give serious thought to applying to if I needed a change. Drivers used to praise them extensively ...

Not a lot of talk about PTI on the boards anymore. And don't see them advertising anymore. Are they still in a driver hiring mode? Anyone heard/know anything about them? Do they still have operations in Oklahoma? Or is this just another trucking company struggling to barely keep their head above water in Obamaville?

Do you mean PTI out of Greenbay, WI? I know they are hiring for intermodal.

I just talked to them. They have a terminal out of Jacksonville and you must leave the truck in their yard. They have another place at a paper plant about an hour away but it's still a 5+ hour one way commute for me (I live in Ft. Myers). They promise you home every weekend too.

They're hiring for a regional SE position which is why I was looking at them but that commute may be a deal breaker with me.

Personally I wouldn't drive for any company who wouldn't allow me to take the truck home, now of course as long your only home for few days.
