USX drivers...how's your day??

Is upgrade easy? Or could I possibly be sent home ?

 

Road test was very easy. The backing with the 90 and the 45 was no big deal, just make sure you get out and look Matt, even if you dont need to, just do it.

The test is a pain in the #####. Make sure you ready the questions in the book, and know the Circle of Service. Some map questions and some HOS questions too.

The written part is the worst of it.

Good Luck. Then you get to wait for them to find you a truck too. It was taking 2 days to get one when I was there.

hey guys ..!!!!! where to start ..????? im not even sure i want to post my last couple of months of bull**** on here ...for now i'll just say hello to all of you and let ya know im going back over to company side and not gonna look back and keep moving forward, ... staying quite might be best for now so i do not ruffle any feathers of any birds that may read these boards ... i will share my thoughts but i want to do it when the anger has calmed down that way im talking and not ranting ... does that make any sense ???? ... after two weeks of serious thought, ive decided to go back and be a company driver and continue on with my good standing and good record and not let all this keep me from doing what i love to do .....

Got my CDL permit today and doing the pre-trip info in school now. Will start learning backing up on Friday....(nervous, but will push again).
Sheepdog - how did you get to train your wife? What are the requirements for husband to train? Mine has been with USX 3 months now (prior student) we are going to team when Im done. So excited to be on this new adventure and praying for things to go smoothly.

As far as I know, your hubby has to have 1 year prior exp and 30 days with USXpress, but don't hold me to that... Just have him call the finishing dept. With you the best..

 

Highwayman, I knew you would have problems witht he lease/flease deal.. Once the wife and I start teaming, we will safe up the money to pay cash for a truck, that is the best way to be an owner. I have done the research for over 3 years now and I believe what I have learned. My good friend is a leese operator and he is making it but, just... no savings and living on the road.
