Recruiters promised me western state assignment
Went to orientation in Colton, Ca, what a waste of time, my road test constituted some driver and I watching them wash his truck. After orientation and getting hired, was put in a rental car with 2 other guys to go to the Dallas, TX terminal to get trucks.
Got there and found out I had been assigned to a 48 state driver board. Went in talked with the Dallas Terminal Manager. Was told there really was nothing he could do about it. Told him I wasn't gonna do a 48 state board again for anybody. He paid for my bus ticket back to NV and had someone take me to the bus station.
Got home and the next morning my recruiter called to ask what happened. Explained everything just as it happened. He then told me he'd call back after he found out what went wrong. The next morning I taked with another guy from my orientation class that was assigned to the western states board who had wanted 48 state. Told him what happened to me. about a hour later the recruiter called and told me that USX had done away with the western board, called him on his BS lie and told he asked for the name of the guy from orientation. Told him I'd call him and give him his number and he could call if he wanted.
Got a call about 3 hours later telling me that USX had given him BS information and he apologized and made sure I got paid for orientation and the trip to Dallas

Watch your pay stub for them to take out 100 bucks for the physical sense you left before 90 days.

I just spoke to a recruiter, who I might say had no personality and told her that I live in the midwest (NW MO) and asked if they had any midwest regional drivers. She said that all they have is Northeast Region. So living in the midwest and working Northeast region they will get me home every weekend. For some reason I don't see that happening.

Saw that already and reported them to the NV Labor Relations Board.... it's gonna cost them that and a bunch more until I get it back
-
Bet you signed a slip of paper,
giving them the right to deduct it !!!!!
-
according to the State of NV . . . since they broke the contract . . . yes, it's in writing . . . they have no right to withold it

Trust me, forget about the money and thank god that you are not employed by them. It is a complet joke, their enitre program. I talked to a guy named Anthony from TN and terminal manager from NC in Shippensburg the other week about some issues that I had. Nothing was done, and they acted like they even cared or knew what I was talking about. They only reason that I stayed there when the switched all of us Arnold drivers over to USX was because of the Arnold people. The guy Larry that was in charge bent over backwards for us, and would do anything that he could to help anyone out. They laid him off, along with all of the other people that worked for him. I needless to say, have given my notice.

what happened tp Larry and why?

UPDATE:
NV Labor Board has opened a claim with USX and are taking care of this for me . . . was told it could be a while, but will include interest -
Cant really see how they can charge for a physical sense you, or at least I, already had a medical card? As far as a Dr was concerned I was already legally able to work.
