my first solo load was a 7 Home Depot Christmas Tree load in So FL
All I did was open the door, and then go watch movies in my truck...

3-4 weeks before home time, then 3-4 days home. 1 day per week out.

Just heard from Opal at May, they're just doing the employment verification and then hopefully I'll be off to orientation this coming Tuesday! Very excited to be joining May, seems like a good choice. Anyone have any "list" for noobs as far as items to bring? Have a pretty good idea, as someone who has lived and traveled from a backpack, but would like to hear from the pros...

I appreciate all the information everyone has posted, hope to see you out on the road soon!

You will get a list of what to bring and what not to bring with you when you go out with your trainer. Opal can Email it to you also. Make sure when your trainer calls you to set up a meeting place you ask him what you can bring that might not be on the list. Mine had me bring some food, my fan, and my laptop. Plus some other comforts.

KY Plat, water soluble so there is no evidence. Other than the inability to sit for any time at all.

Besides, I said comforts not discomforts. You're making me feel all icky and stuff.

:biggrin_2552: You guys have me scurred!!

Anyway, just heard from Opal, she's setting my bus ticket up right now for this coming Tuesday's orientation! I will be joining the May family! I'm excited to be getting rolling... Just finished my HAZMAT on Thursday (took the TSA 5 days to approve my TWIC card, and almost 4 weeks for HAZMAT, go figure), so now I have all my endorsements but Passenger. Probably should've just added that anyway. But I digress...

Be seein' y'all out on the road real soon now, y'hear? :biggrin_25520:
