Then I guess the best way to deal with high-beamers is to just turn on your highs as well, then turn them off at 500 feet to stay legal.
A simple request

Another simple request. Turn your fog lights off!!!!
Conservative to the Bone.LaBubba Thanks this. -
But that's why they aim them up in the air to blind you. That crap bothers me too, and what's the point of fog lights that point in the air?
A truck flashing their brights doesn't really bother my vision as long as they flash and don't hold it. I'd rather them not do it but it's not that big of a deal to me. The fog lights bother me more than that. -
???
Fog lights?
They are set to point level or down.
Heck, I can't get mine to stay even level.
Is this thread just turning into a pi$$ing contest?
I have never been bothered by fog lights, or by flashing brights - day or night.
And, by the way, my night vision is fairly sensitive.
There are ways to avoid being blinded by oncoming or rearview lights.
One is to not look directly at the light source.
Duh!!! -
Just because yours are set right doesn't mean other people's are. There are a lot of guys that their fog lights are aiming up. England trucks come to mind foremost.
-
If I'm understanding you correctly, that's the same thing I do but here lately I've been getting the "F/U" flash from either the four-ways, markers or left turn signal a lot from all these boneheads that expect you to flash them over whether its really needed or not....
Yep, starting to sound like a broken record.
Ah hell, not this again.
For the most part, in most of these fog light whiner's minds, just the mere sight of seeing them on is enough to get their panties in a square knot. How they are aimed don't mean Jack Schidt.
Yeah, and those guys are ########. Same goes for those with improperly aimed headlights.
Do tell.
Lol, have a little beef with England, perhaps?
That why yer expecting us to believe England trucks are the only trucks you see with fog lights aimed too high?.... Lol, okay.Scott101 Thanks this. -
For Real? soooo he had his brights the whole time or what? those new 2012 lights are really bright sometimes looking like highs when they are not....
-
Personally a quick beam flash or a headlight interrumpt is good for me or nothing at all. I don't think a quick flash is going to burn your retinas' like UV light burns vampires. I'v seen drivers pass me on the hammer lane and just continue on for like 3 truck lenghts and I ask myself do they need the "signal" or what? I finally give the signal and he finally moves over its kinda funny. The 4 wheelers don't want to pass on the right so they follow (believe it or not alot of 4 wheelers are not ##########) but I'm not sure what to make of that.
-
Cornelius, what exactly is the flip-the-bird flash? My uncle told me it was one single blink of the left turn signal.
-
That's what I was told too but the kind of flash I'm talkin about is the flash of the tail lights, four-ways or left-blinker you get from a passing truck, normally a thank-you flash but in this case, it is from a disgruntled driver because he didn't get the "come back over" flash from you because he expects it from every driver he passes and he's basically telling you to he didn't appreciate your supposed lack of courtesy.
