Arrive at 0800 for a 1000 appt.
Finally given a door, but there's another truck there.
"Gotta wait. We only have so many doors. We're crowded here."
There are 4 trucks in 36 doors.

 

Fine!! I didn't want any company anyways. I will enjoy the Liberal, KS hospitality all by myself. Now, if I could get rr to approve the repairs to my truck THAT I'M PAYING FOR, I might be able to get out of here before it snows.

 

Somewhere in my house, I have several pictures of what a Mazda Miata looks like after tangling with a moose in Alaska. Deer is one thing. Moose, something quite different. There wasn't much left of the car, the moose, or the driver.

 

love RR thinking that money in your account is theirs... sometimes it is easier to just pay with my bank card, than deal with RR... then send them the repair info, so that they can keep the maintenance records updated on their truck.

After emptying out, get a repower message. Grab load in N. St Louis and take to KC.
Now we are rolling, I ask, "What's next?", figuring I'm probably heading to Dodge.
Want to get the DH out of the way if possible.
Kept telling them, "I expire 12/1"
Well now suddenly, I'm on safety hold.
Can't do anything with me other than repower back to Dallas.
But there isn't much fgt from KC area to Dallas. They would have been better off to find me on a load down the 44 towards OK.
So now everyone's shorts are bunched up.
I kept telling them.

 

so this time the second medical card is not good enough for them... typical.

my DM has been out all week... wonder if he is gonna make it, it has been a month again.

Setting in the dock at HEB... detention pay starts...
Now we get to acknowledge pre plans... wonder who came up with that useless step? and I wonder what happens if I don't ack a pre plan?

and my preplan tyson seguin... that will be a wasted day, and it has to be in vernon CA on the 4th at 2200. If sequin is there usual self, I won't be rolling until 0400 on Sat. I can use some more supplies on the truck, so I will drop the trailer and head for the walmart to restock...
maybe that will give this storm time to pass anyway.

 

Ack a preplan? When did this start? This is the first I've heard of this.

Seguin: the place where you have all the oxygen sucked out of your lungs everytime you open the vent door to make sure their poorly-wrapped pallets haven't fallen over. They cram so much CO2 into the trailer and somehow keep it all in there until you open the doors to make final delivery. If you're not ready for it, it can startle you when you take a deep breath and get nothing.

Sitting in Waterloo at the J tonight. Had a produce load to Target yesterday. They rejected 160 cs of romaine...said it was discolored. So had to wait until this morning to take it to the local food bank for donation. I'm due at the yard by the 9th for my 90 days so I'm picking up spices in Fredericksburg to Laredo. Then get a load down there and bring it back to DFW to head to the yard.

I'm not a fan of the winter and it's all too apparent up here tonight that she's here. It's cold for this California boy.

 

Fire up the turbines, boys, and look out! There's a silver and black bird a-comin' down the highways!

Oh, wait. I think that's what they told those independent truckers that passed me doing about 85 or so...and they took it to heart.
