If your inverter has the output power to run something like that. The load (Good Ol' George and his Grill) has to be less than the rated output of the inverter. Measured in Watts.

I use a 700 watt microwave that I bought at wally world. it was on sale 50.00 (sorry no fancy pics here) I cook my soup in there. My truck has plug-ins and when I use my microwave I leave the truck running. I also use a low wattaged electric burner to make grill cheese. I eat a lot of cold sandwich's and in the morning I have a bowl of ceral. I stay out for about 6weeks at a time. I eat a sit down dinner once a week. I wouldn't say its double the price. You can eat a dinner or the buffett at a T/A for about 11.00 plus of course a 2 dollar tip. Last thing I don't make fancy stuff like pork chops and meatloaf but it gives me one more thing to look forward to when I get Home Sweet Home.

thats a great idea, allot of drivers have them. Just make sure its cold when you put it away, and shut the gas off.

Don't forget the "outdoor" part... unless you want to turn your brain into a vegetable on carbon monoxide in the truck.

You can also put a serving of beans in a ziplock bag at the start of your trip with some water to soak. They should be ready to put in any dish you are making 8 hours later.

Add to rice you are cooking and you have a complete vegetarian meal.

Add to any protein you are cooking to add nutrition and fiber. Very filling and no fat!

Lived on 'outdoor' grills for years. That's what I think about that. Some of the best meals I ate were on the outdoor grill. And that goes for being an over the road driver, and an Army driver in the field. I've even 'slow' cooked my 'main' courses on hot manifolds driving from point A to point B. What'd ya tink 'bout dat ?
