Thank you, do I got the W. Canada part right tho, they only allow 20,000 for a dual spread?

I'm still trying to learn all the flatbed crap that way if I decide to go that route, I will have a descent idea.

Yeah, 20k on a spread, however there are some exceptions for a single piece load in some provinces , but just say 20k. That is one of the reasons why you see so many front or rear sliding axles, besides California reasons. If every state were like FL and allow 44k on tandems, there would be need for spreads.

you guys w/300 plus wb are something else.i dont get the "cool" factor of not being able to get around as easy. it doesnt make sense to over do the wb.there is no gain, only extra time trying to get in and out of something you could have zipped in and out of if you had a normal wb.i know its personal preference but....

^^^^ Thats right personal prefrence, if you dont like it dont do it. Mines not 300wb but 280 and i've never had an issue getting into any where i go. Dont you think that us guys that run these trucks no where where going and no we can get in and out. WB has little to do with it, i've seen guys with day cabs not be able to back into a dock or pull into a lumder yard when a guy with a 48ft spread and 300 plus wb will come in and do it in one shot. Are there some spots that are tight and a pain yes but thats what makes it interesting. I would not trade my wb for nothing. Has nothing to do with being cool its what i like.

I like my "cool" factor, never wating for a shower, full size bed, real refrigator freezer, have always made it in and out of all customers.

yes i know. more power to you.if you can handle it.i ll remember that when someone cant get a parking spot cause he's got a long wb and cant fit in the spot.then winds up blocking up the drive way. alomg w/the guys that cant back up a daycab.its seems to be a handicap for most.if you like that extra challenge, have fun w/it.

No, we just pull shorter trailers to make up for it. and to be honest, I never see a guy in a 300" wb truck having as many problems as most you guys in the 236" wheelbases with those 53' vans.

Shorter trailers? Mine is 48 or 53 and stretches to 74 ft. Wheels all the way to the back, 18" kingpin. Fully stretched fifth wheel to rear = 100 ft

Want me to blind side in next to you?

I don't know why poeple think a long wheelbase truck is so hard to menuver because it's not, I've never not been able to get it in anywhere and I've been to some places that were not meant for a truck at all..
