I think you're paranoid. Yes, there are those that want to change the hours of service, and yes they are organized. But on the other hand they also face opposition. It might be good for more drivers to contact their congressmen and or women to let them know your concerns.

Graves estimate assumes 11 hours driving everyday. Nobody does all 11 everday so his number is off.

The guy in Ohio:biggrin_25517: No idea where his numbers come from about 50 hours a week.

The only real problem I see with proposed rules is the midnight to six. As this is not a nine to five industry I see no benefit to mandating those hours off besides bolstering the Teamsters coffer's.

I find it amusing that the Teamsters own admission of needing 40,000 more drivers but ignoring the fact that it will not get any more work done!

Why don't they just demand 8 hour days with an hour for lunch, and five days a week, and who cares what it does to the economy!

Hoffa wants more union drivers so he can use their dues to buy another house in the Hamptons.

Last I looked, I wasn't union so Hoffa can go $%&^ himself, along with Public Citizen and the other pansy groups who have nothing better to do. I hope if these HOS do go through, those groups enjoy traffic being back up more and know that they are the cause of it. Hope their proud?

Keep in mind, that the unions are really just a money laundering scheme for the political class.
