Well folk I had the worst day of my Career today, and before I start in the end the Mechanic found it to be a Equipment failure.

Arrive Marshalltown load is ready to roll, of course with all the rain the lot is a giant Fbomb of a mud bowl, find trailer have to lower it 12 inches just to get it to hit fifth wheel, roll back lock it in, hook up glad hands, get out do the inspection Handle in check, Jaws closed Check, All lights on CHeck, Tires good Check, Pull out start to make a left turn, Trailer with me NEGATIVE it is resting on my frame and tires going straight and I am going left. This is where the fun starts, Rip out all the #### airlines on the trailer (Gladhands) and the Electric box gone, Slice two tires open rip off Mud flap, bend other mudflap to hell, bent the Shock mount on the right rear, and this #### trailer never hit the ground, Landing gear is ok Jack it up, Yard driver helps pickit all the way up.

Well Call the usual suspects get repair man in route to fix trailer, head to tire shop fix tires, Will worry about mudflaps in route yaddy yaddy right.

Accident line is answered by Mike he says to have the mechanic check the fifth wheel, find out the #### thing is not locking, mechanic starts digging underneath and pulls out gobs of Mud and Junk which he says was blocking the jaws from shutting.
funny thing never had any problems until I had to drive through the MUDBOWL Marshalltown....

When I was with Giltner, before the day of elogs, the dispatchers fully expected you to drive from Boise to Denver, 820 miles or to Los Angeles, 900 miles, in one seating.

They had a very rude awakening when E Logs kicked in.

quick question for you jbs guys..

i moved from s florida to western kansas.. this place is "owned" by jbs competitors (national carriers, cargill, tyson) so will jbs hire out of here even though there are no jbs plants nearby.

No more 7/10 of a mile, wait until a load is late because someone moved to a dock during their 10 hour break, sent a message to Brent Eastwood telling him how #### ridiculus this rule is.I think this is just a Randy scare tactic, they probally wont change it.:biggrin_25522:.Also I am not getting the fuel and routing when I send in begin trip,so business as usual.

They should. Last I knew they hire from all 48 states. Could be wrong. But last I knew it shouldn't be a issue.
