So here is how my day went.............I have 3 stops, 11am,12:30pm, and 23:30!
What kinda bloomin idiot schedules three stops like that? There was no way to do it legally!
first one was cake, second one sucked big fat hairy donkey balls!...........blind-side off a busy street into a dock that was so close to a major intersection that I had to use some of the intersection for my set-up!
Get to the third one way early, beg them to take me early, explaining the numb nuts who scheduled the appts like this and that I will be out of hours after they unload me tonight.............NOPE we only receive at night!
So I says ok but I will have to wait here otherwise I cant guarantee I can make it back here tonight...........NOPE we dont have room for ya!
This place is tiny and there is a line of trucks out to the road, nowhere to turn around to get back out of here and I have had 1 hour of sleep in the past 24 hours! So I am not about to back out the narrow, winding driveway packed with trucks onto a busy street backwards!
I tried for a good while to get turned around and leave but it just wasn't safe to do!
So, here I sit and if somebody knocks on my truck telling me to leave they are gonna be entering a world of PAIN!

Shippers/Receivers who ignore the HOS rules and expect you to do likewise deserve what they get....... LATE LOADS or LATE PICKUPS. Seems to me you gave him ample warning. If you have to get out of there and go to a truck stop and don't show up at your appt time, they will be the ones who caused it (along with some morons in Washington DC).
It's out of your control, Harley.
BTW, if they tell you to move, tell them to call the company and the cops to make you. One look at your e-log and the cops will realize they can't do squat.
I hate people sometimes. Really, I do. -
After reading the last few post, sounds like JBS planners have brain freeze. I think all JBS Carrier office staff should be required to go on the road with a driver for a 2 week run. See how and what drivers have to deal with day in and day out, include a 34 reset at a dump truck stop. sit at a recievers or at a pick up for hours on end. They would not last past the 1st week, of course they would have to get in the truck, most of them wouldnt even go. any bets?

Jarhead I hate to disagree with you But The cops will NOT Take the truckers defense, They will tell you it is PRIVATE Property and to get off or go to JAIL. Been there already at a Millards Cold Storage in Arkansas I had sat for 9 hours while they unloaded me, After I was empty I informed them I just needed 1 HOUR to finish my 10 hour Break, they told me I had to LEAVE or they would call the cops, I thought ok I will stall as long as I can. I pulled out pulled off to the right out of the way, did my QC BS, 40 minutes to go no problem right, BS Rent a cop called local PD on me. The cop gets there I explain how LONG I sat there and that I was just about finished with a 10 hour break.
He goes to the Office and comes back and says Either you pull off the property now or go to JAIL. I pulled out and turned on my 4 ways just outside the #### gate and this Prick cop comes up beside me and tells me to get moving, I now have less than 15 minutes to go. So I try like hell to stall pulling up 100 ft stopping again I get within 5 minutes of being done and here comes the Idiot again and not so nice this time, he says I have to go and go now. Needless to say I ended up sitting another 10 freaking hours as I had about 45 minutes on that I could drive so I got to a walmart and sat.
Cops do not give two flying freakin squirrel nuts about HOS when it comes to private property.IofTEXAS and Jarhed1964 Thank this.
