Frog, there is a casino an exit or 2 north of Las Lunas with truck parking. Don't stop anywhere in Las Lunas or you may win a $100.00 Parking Ticket!

If I had heard of it I wouldn't have gotten that #### ticket! Stopped to see where my next load was taking me and while I was reading the qualcom, I got a parking ticket.

At least the weather is actually bad where you are. I have been in Hooker, OK since first thing this morn. Made the mistake of telling my DM that I will park for a little while. Now they have me on weather hold and wont let me go.

Then on top of that, knowing that Im down for the day, they scheduled my appointment in Bell Gardens (LA) for Wed at 0600! Got that message an hour or two ago. Would have barely made that with good weather!

Thanks Fozzy,I know all this,Ive been out here a while.I pretty much know where every truck stop and parking location is in this country.By mile marker I might add.lol.Its not that.I stand the chance of not having a place to park if I move. With every major freeway around Albuqurque closed, you can imagine the vultures in this truck stop hawking spots.Thats the Hard Rock Casino, formerly the Isleta by the way.Stopped there many times to play golf.Chances are its full, its not a very large area for trucks.Los Lunas isnt going to get any free money out of me,lol.Ive still got seven hrs on my window,Ill sit and wait.Im on weather shutdown,to cover my behind.Soup isnt worth risking my life, even though Ive driven through worse.Whiteouts in Wyoming for instance.Even If I deliver I cant go anywhere.

I parked there at Hard Rock one night. Not bad but be aware they only have about a dozen truck parking spaces. I had to park in the RV parking along with 2 or 3 other trucks. Route 66 is where its at!

Speaking of, had anyone stayed/eaten at the casino at 102?

Well finally we're unloaded here in McAllen!
Don't know where we're heading since so many routes are closed, however, just for the fun of it, I let my DM know it's cooled down here too....to 71.
I didn't know he knew those words!
