Can't seem to find that info on most company websites, I did see where TMC says they require one, but they're not on my list of possible companies i would like to start with anyway.
TIA
Do starter companies require HS diploma or GED?

danny_379, 7122894003481, Hanadarko and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yea, but that's probably is not what is wrong with some of them LOL.

Swift asked for ged or diploma. I just did an Arnold app a few minutes ago and it asked about the same. now that does not mean they require it, they just ask if you have one.
-
In today's world, you can't get far without a GED or H.S deploma,so to answer your question, yea you need one of them.
-
I was just thinking the other day I have never been asked to prove i graduated HS via a diploma or anything. Seems it would be easy to lie about that, i wouldnt do it on an application though they can trash your dac for that.
-
my anwer to that question is who cares. Take the Woodfield U test online & they send a diploma in 2 weeks. My buddies 11th grade drop out kid just did it and said the only uneasy part was financing the $ 300.00.

The real answer is no, because you will always mark "yes I have diploma" regardless if you do or not. The trucking companies aren't going to research if you have it, trust me. The biggest thing to know when applying is, if its only going to harm you to answer truthfully, then lie. It is not illegal to lie on a job application, and its not immoral to lie on a job app (hey, you need a job to survive you gotta do what you gotta do). Same goes with applications on the accident section, if you bumped a pole but it was never reported anywhere then there is no reason to put it down, it will only hurt your chances. If they aren't going to find out, lie lie lie my friend. But be careful lying about things they can(and will) look up, such as not putting in a misdemeanor that will come up on your criminal check, or not listing a ticket you have on your mvr etc.

No its not illegal to lie on a job application but if they were to find out, and i agree thats unlikely, you can bet your *** theyre goona put it on your dac. That would end your career before it started.
