    i have a 6nz cat has 600 file 2300 brakesaver 9710 cam reving it up in nutral it breaks up around 2000 rpm and if i rev it to 2300 it sounds like back fireing and shakeing on the road it won't pull much over 1900 rpm and boost gauge is kinda shakeing around 35 pounds has new boost sensor and atmosfer sensor and both cam and crank sensor

    Could it be starving for fuel? This engine with that program should go to 2300 without any trouble under a load in the mid gears of the tranny. Down a gear from high gear you should be able to pull it to 2300. The reason I'm not saying to try in high gear...........is it will take awhile to build it to 2300 and the speed will be extremely fast. It should be able to do it though. If it can't, I'd say it starving for fuel

    my buddys race car had the same problem a few weeks ago once the rev's got over 5k it started cutting out, bad fuel pump. put the new one on and it ran great.

    haney what are you thinking lift pump ? all the fuel lines are pretty new won't even rev to 2000 sitting still well it does but thats where it breaks up bad tryed another used lift pump and same thing puffs alittle black smoke when it's breaking up

    fuel pressure is right around 80 idel goes up to around 110 underload

    Seems ok. did it just start or has it gotten worse over time? did it happen after any other work?

    did you check the injector harness for damage? or do a cutout test? sounds like an issue I had with an old 6TS, but in a new set of 6 injectors and that cured it. only did that cause i had them on the shelf though
