Good question. Only thing i know is if you are constantly late you can be terminated. I dont take threats well either but also remeber due to the storm dallas is in panic brain freeze mode with lots of late loads. Target seems to be improving my last two trips have been under 4 hours from arrival to departing.

If you dont recover the other truck they do not have to pay you breakdown pay or for the hotel. They are mitigating their loss and your down time.
-
They fixed the heat problem.
Now there's a whole new meaning to the expression: Making them Sweat! -
They aren't paying for it in the first place. CRST is. I appreciate that they are trying to keep me running, but it would turn into a bigger headache trying to switch trucks than it's worth...not to mention the potential bio hazard in the abandoned truck.

Just heard back from Kenworth. That said that they could have me back on the road by Monday, but they haven't heard back from Stevens yet...surprise surprise. Alliance is a joke. Be your own boss!! Yeah right. -
OUCH
Not a good way to wake up.

Tell me about it. I am going to recover the truck after all, but I told them that it was only to get the truck to Dallas, and then I would be returning to NJ for my truck. They said that they have no issue with that. We'll see. I didn't come to Alliance to drive a T2000...I could've done that on the company side.
-
Even though CRST is paying for it, if you do not lessen the down time when there is an option to do so CRST will not pay either.
You don't own the truck you only rent it. Paragon has total say on the truck.
Looks like you may have worked out a solution just make them stick to it. -
Why not just get a replacement T660 in Dallas and leave the recovery of your old T660 as their problem. Treking back to NJ to pick it up is a waste of your time and money, they have no issue because you're helping them out of a truck recovery twice!

I don't rent the truck from them...I lease it. Big difference. Your statement is a very broad generalization as to what a lease program really is. For example:
1: A rental is usually for short duration. A lease usually carries much longer terms.
2: A lease gives you more freedom with the vehicle as opposed to a rental. Such as mileage allowances and personalization.
3: At the end of the contract, I have the option to purchase the vehicle at Fair Market Value minus what I have paid already...not so in a rental.
4: As a leaser, I am required by law to carry my own vehicle insurance. As a renter, the rental company usually provides vehicle insurance.
I don't mean to sound like some kind of hard ### because I'm really not, but I'm not one to take advantage of and I am making sure that Stevens knows this. If Paragon Leasing decides that they no longer want to lease me a 2011 T660, then I will be more than happy to cancel my lease contract with them and go back to the company side. -
Do you have a T700?
