    45 years old and after 25 years in the outdoor power equipment business , I’m changing careers.

    Got everything packed and loaded. Leaving from Texas tomorrow early. Headed to RDTC in Marshfield WI.. Then after 3 weeks its off to Gary IN. for flatbed training.

    I understand that flatbeds are more work. That’s exactly why I picked it.

    I would like to thank all that answered my newbie questions, and thank all the drivers that post helpful info for us newbie’s. It is very helpful.

    I will be posting as often as I can about my journey.

    Best of luck at RDTC. You will get some good training there. I went through RDTC earlier this summer and really appreciate the education I received.

    Just finished my second week at RDTC. The people here are great. :biggrin_25519:
    Its been a lot of fun here the last 2 weeks. Had a blast !
    I will be stuck in the hotel room over Christmas 1000 miles from home but have plenty of homework to keep me busy. I will be leaving here Dec 30 headed for Gary IN for flatbed school.

    Update ;

    Finished RDTC on Friday in Marshfield WI, did first day of flatbed training today in Gary IN. Another day tomorrow then back home for a few days before going out with trainer.

    All instructors have been great and "crazy smart". Cant wait to get to work.
