-
ok i put on a new lift pump seams to run ok headed to mi tomarrow see what happens loaded
-
How do you like that cam? what kind of improvement did you see?
thanks -
ok lift pump help alittle but still not right rev it up fast in neutral it pops and cracks push pedal slow it will go to redline and not break up big wrench not sure if i like cam or not was thinking about putting a stock cam back in
-
Sounds like its sucking air.
-
ill try running with a fuel line off the tranfer pump into a bucket see what that does thanks

Is this thing doing this on a pull or just in the driveway reving the engine.
I know I will get a lot of flack from people for saying this but, i would not be surprised if it is your cam you put in.
Reason for saying this is I had the same cam in a 1lw I had and ended up taking in out and putting the stock one back in. It would make the engine do some weird stuff. One of them being exactly what your engine is doing.
It would break up at high rpm backing the truck up in low gear, or just reving up parked. It would also cause the truck to surge and buck at low rpm cruise. Once I put the stock cam back in it ran perfect. And this is after I spent a lot of money on replacing everything else trying to rectify the problems.
Did this engine start doing this just after the cam install? -
well the wierd stuff in neutral yes but going down the road it break's up going though the gears around 1900 to 2000 it will rev to redline if your wind it up real slow don't have a good stock cam to put back in and try wiped a lobe on the old one and i went with the 9710 but id trade some one for a good stock cam if they want to try there luck will this one
