Which connection is best?

I'm with AT&T and use my phone as a mobile hotspot. This is better then the stick because you can have the Internet in the palm of your hand or send it to the laptop. My phone also has HDMI and I can plug it into the TV and watch what ever I want. That works well for me. It's a 4G phone for $45 a month for 4 gig and $10 for every gig after that. In the last 3 months I didn't even hit one gig. And yes I watch youtube on it.

 

Only if your parked next to the building. If your in the back you can forget about it. When I'm in Canada I let it scan and get Internet for a close Motel or Hotel. Running in Canada is like running in the outback, you have miles and miles of nothing.

 

You think Ontario is bad, they sent me to Manitoba last month. It cost me $45 to make 4 phone calls. Internet? forget about it.

I stop at the Fifth Wheel in Bowmansville, ON all the time. I pick it up fine from the back row. The one in Quinsby, you're right, it sucks.

 

I live in Canada and have been in every province. The Internet is hard to get no matter where you go. There are only a hand full of truck stops that offer it, but most don't. I run the US most of the time and when they make me come back to Canada raise a stink about it. I don't mind when I have to come up to drop and hook as long as I'm back south that evening. Okay I like like having Internet and TV channels. When I have to run from Toronto to Winnipeg I know I have 2 days of nothing. Put in a DVD and know it will be over soon. I don't understand why Canada has to be so far behind the times. It's 2011 so catch up will ya.

 

Verizon 4G LTE aircards are great. I'd absolutely recommend it.

 

AT&T is getting better every month it seems
I can send scanned reports from area's I once couldn't months earlier
I'm not concerned with the 4G hoop-La,the difference tween the two
doesn't effect my world in the least

 

I'm a huge fan of the Verizon MiFi 4G wireless hotspot. It's battery operated (or you can leave it plugged in [ac or dc]). You can connect up to 5 devices. $50 for 5 gigs; $80 for 10 gigs. I sound like a salesman, but I am not a Verizon fan in general. In fact, my cell phone is AT&T.
