I am sitting here in I-da-hoe watching a CREngland driver copy the video step by step, but on the blind side. Only thing I see is the 5 times he got out to look. Works pretty good, but.it marks you as a noob.

Not advocating rushing, hurrying, or racing. My point is you need to understand the situation. If you can't get it parked in a timely manner, you need to move on.

It doesen't mark you as a noob, it marks you as a catious driver. The time you worry about being marked as a noob and don't get out and look is the time you will have accident. SO G.O.A.L. Or you could be on a bus home.

    What constitutes a "timely manner"?
When a person is up against a clock, or is feeling rushed, is usually when mistakes happen.
Any newbies, trainees, old hands, take your time, get out and look many times.as needed.
Do away with distractions, radio, cb, dog, etc
Take help when offered, but don't put all your trust in that person, you are the one with the vested interest.

That great advice probably works well on both sides of the radio. If you're one of those waiting for the new driver to find the right combination of angle and such to park, give her or him a break. Don't harass the poor person--she already knows she's backing up traffic and has what feels like a million eyes watching every movement. He'll get the hang of it. Remember: The oldest hand started as a greenhorn.

Been in two parking slots today (including this one) that ol' "Safety Ken" and his parking method would not only be totally unusable, but would tie up traffic permanently. However, I see that CRE took the usual course of action... parked in a driveway, blocking everyone from exiting.

I thought you're supposed to lead by example, I guess the folks over at c r crookland don't follow those rules.
