Lets see if I average 1k miles each run do that three times a week thats 3k also your really negative on JBS did you get fired? also I have great health bennies. I go home for more than 2 days and problems. I have had the same dispatcher since I started 9 months ago. I'm a happy monkey.I guess if you ##### and moan alot they might not want you.

all companies are all the same.... look on here under the "good companies to work for' and "report a BAD trucking company here"... you will see the same companies in each topic lol
everyone has different experiences with different companies, you will NEVER get a company that EVERYONE agrees is good or bad.....
edit: ok not ALL the SAME, but u know what i mean, u will find good and bad comments for eachSierraSemiDriver Thanks this. -
I guess I've done the oppisite ...I've had 5 jobs in 24 years of OTR... with the last one lasting 11.94 years (11 years and 11 months before Jesse Passed away) -
JBS isent a bad company as I used to work there and had a nice truck good miles and was treated with respect but was asked to many times to run illegal and decided to leave. but other than that i was happy with the company in general

I notice that sometimes a company representative will post a comment that will conflict with a negative one. They do this disguised as a driver. Often singing praise about how good the company is. Typically this is known as damage control. If you want to know if a company is lousy.. just keep doing research on it. No you can't go by what people say? But a lot of people are saying it though. If you got 39 people talking bad about your company its a safe bet that company isn't a good one to work for. Bottom line? Get the facts.

Not sure about secret drivers because I've praised them a few times. Just lately I've seen a side of this company I don't like. For example broken promises and miles going down. If they do read this GOOD! Maybe focus on the drivers you have now instead of trying to buy more drivers.. IE 3k sign on bonus

Schneider (at the time it had its schools) used to have 2 weeks OTR with a trainer (it could be less if a trainer OKed you to take final company tests before 2 weeks is over). Honestly, if you learned your basics at Schneider schools, 2 weeks OTR with a trainer was enough for you to run solo upon passing company tests. Sure, 2 weeks didn't make a pro, it just gave you enough of confidence to finesse driving etc. skills on your own. There was no team driving allowed during those 2 weeks. Slower learners who didn't think that 2 weeks with a trainer is enough went with Swift and Werner where they had a few months of low paying team driving to hone their confidence.
I'm always suspicious about the companies offering many weeks of low paying teaming in lieu of training. I greatly doubt that their main objective is training and not moving freight for super cheap. The thing is, it's like in life, if somebody took advantage of you once, he will do it again, it's just matter of time. So if you think that you paid your dues by teaming for really cheap, just wait, more screwing will be coming your way in the future 99% guarantee.pete3871 and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this. -
You notice? How? Just by someone posting something positive about a company?

Ok here is what I know from working with JBS before I turn in my truck. Are they a good or a bad company to work for? That answer changes depending on who you talk to. Now they do have good bennies and they do have nice trucks. There are a few maybe one or two FM's that do a good job and take care of there drivers. The others that I have seen don't. Now trying to get ahold of someone in the office....., If they need something from you ie, move a load, do a swap to make a on time delivery then yes they are easy to get ahold of as they are calling you. If you need something from them then you best be ready to wait weeks of months trying to get a answer. As I was told by Daren, " I do not have time to bother with your issue will get to it when I have more time." 5 months later still nothing was done. So I guess they just don't have time. Layover pay, well if you can get it good but good luck getting it. Here is the policy that I remember. After setting for 24 hours you get $40.00 for every day you are layover. Now here is how it works out so they don't have to pay it. You set for 14 hours waiting on a pp. On the 14th hour they send you one that you don't pick up for another 24 hours. You ask for layover pay and are told that you don't qualify. Why you may ask. Well your time to get Layover has change from the time they gave you the pp and the first 14 hours no longer counts. So you set for a day and a half for free. Detention is on the 1 hour past your appointment send in a msg saying your not unloaded or in a door. Then again on the 4 hours and then your detention pay starts then. Well here how it would work out for me. well you didn't send in your msg 30 min after your appointment time, or the FM on duty last night didn't log it so I can not confirm that you sent your msg on the proper times. Same goes with payroll. There is a macro to send them a msg when you have a question or you see that something wasn't reimbursed to you. You can also call and leave a voicemail. But same goes with them as with anyone else in that office. They will not return your call or msg and also good luck in getting any money reimbursed that is owed to you. Now I don't know about the .46 per mile as I was at top pay with .40 per mile being a OTR. Also to my knowledge .40 per mile is top pay for any OTR. They force dispatch if that is also a question. So you don't have the option to turn down loads. So all in all do I think it is a good company......, yes and no. No they are not as I feel they do not care for there drivers and the office people only care about there clocking in and out for the work week. Sorry but if friday night comes around and you have no pp from your FM you might get on from the weekend crew but I would just get ready to settle in where ever your at for the weekend. JBS has it goods and bads. For me the bad out weighed the good. Now I do believe JBS can be a better company if they got more office people that new how to do there job properly and not do what ever it take to justify there job. Do you set a lot working for them, yes. They haul meat and meat loads yo have to wait for so expect that. Will they ask you to do thing that are not safe and not legal yes but they will not put it on the qualcomm they will tell you over the phone. If you ask them to put it on the qualcomm then they will not ask you to do it and you will be given the ###### loads and ###### miles for sometime. So that the next time they call you asking you to do something not right you have no choice because now you need the money. Now I know I will get crap for posting these from the JBS CHEERLEADERS. But I don't care. I no longer work for them and they can no longer try to do anything adverse to me because of posting this. Now if you are a yes sir, yes mama driver. Willing to take anything and everything and the blame that goes with it then JBS is the company for you. Just remember that when you except that force dispatch that they no longer care about it or you as that if anything happens that you did not for see it is on you and you will be written up for it. Also check there safety score when you research this company.
