Celadon isn,t a bad company. I've been here for just over 2 years now. And I can say it has been easy. In my orientation Celadon hired 40 out of the sixty there. And I believe I,m the only one left. I must be crazy. I don,t know what there turn over percentage is. Call Celadon direct. I,m sure there professional management could give a true and honest answer.
Awile back the man in charge sent a message to all his drivers via Qualcom. This message had a number to call and a code to enter. You then got to listen to him speak on how good of a company Celadon is to work for. He did have concerns in his message about why he was losing so many drivers. He wanted the drivers to contact him or stop by his office to express their views. I left messages with my dm,s boss that I had some ideas that may help him. I'm sure the message never got relayed. In fact I've been trying to get another dm for months now. Don,t trust the one I have. It seems I,m always getting burned out of money that in the employee handbook says I,m entitled to.
Running out of space. The Simple Truth.(Cold non working showers in Indy) (No easy Pass, getting burned on re-imbursement), (forced dispatch)
(can,t have inverter,300 watt ok) (no pets)(Detention after 4hours of apt time only if customers signs, means no guarantee.) Miles have been really short lately(new routing I hear, cnty to cnty} Anyway boss, here,s a good idea. You,ve got so many people that don,t want to go to Canada. Why not let anyone on Canadian Regional. It only takes 1 load to get them in the region. It just might solve that problem. I have lots more to say to say but no room. Any questions on my experiences here I,ll be more than happy to give my views. And as always the SIMPLE TRUTH.
Ps. If you could clone Marty and Gary for all your driver managers you,d be a millionaire. Oh I guess now we'd have to shoot for billionaire. They both seem to understand drivers, know the trade, and especially know how to talk to them. I,d say make them the Boss. Have a great day. And stay between the lines, the lines are your friends.:biggrin_25523:

If you left verbal msgs, they will never get relayed. You need to sort out your thoughts and write a letter (not email) and send it to the guy that was asking for comments via USMail. Make it detailed, if they are shorting you money, give dates, amounts etc. List everything, cold showers, small inverters, detention problems etc.
If or when you quit someday and they did nothing about your letter, then you can dig up your copy and say, this is why I am quiting, you did nothing about the problems.
You would be surprised how putting things in writing helps to get things done, now its a written document, not just some word of mouth comment that can be forgotten in a second. Think of it as a CYA document.

    Good luck

That's why when I worked there. I made sure to send problems in via the Qualcomm. So the office staff couldn't say they didn't know. And the op is right! He is crazy. And one day the real truth about celadon and how they will treat him. Will make him sane for a minute. And then, the insanity on how they just dropped there drawers and took a big healthy crap on him and his career. Will drive him nuts. And then real mental problems will develop last the rest of his life. And he will have celadon to thank for it.

That is not interesting. Abbout 90% of their drivers are Mexicans aren't they? Everytime I see one I say ?Que Pasa and they answer in Spanish and I can speak it some.
