thanks u2. I was watching a broadcast.

u2 read your post in the "whats your 20?" Thread. Looks like I am about 17 hours behind you and should skirt most of the utah stuff. Wyoming is another issue but we'll see. Thanks for the heads up. The broadcast I watched had nothing.

Well I did a stupid thing last night. i got loaded heavey and went to scale and all was good and I said when you stop for fuel don't buy more than 100 gal just to be safe. Well 2 hours later and a huge temp drop I decide to think about putting antigel in the tank. So I read directions and of course TOP OFF to the tune of 160 gallons cause I was thinking about the additive at the time. Jump in the Truck and get ready to pull out and see my scale ticket and say ?#$@%* . Well crossed two scales on way to my rest break. Went ahaead and rescaled. if you count the 30 gallons I burned getting here I was leagal by 60 pounds. Remarkedly I was also cool al the way around too. Then of course as I am driving in the 12 degree temp thanking the stars I was wise enough to at least put antigel in my tank I think hey what about the reefer you moron. Then it dawns on me or at least I hope that buying the fuel in WI this time of year I'll be ok but I put some in just to be safe.
I know for sure when and if I get home though I will make sure I got the stuff cause FL gets cold but not like this sunshine. -
Weather Channel next 48 hour rain/snow forecast. Great for trip planning

24 hour snow forcast.

Weather Alerts in the US (Click on the county), very good summery of expected weather events in a very localized area
http://www.wunderground.com/severe.asp
As an example, this site is telling me to expect the snow around 1800 and should be tapered off or done by 0900 in Laramie area. 3-5 inches in the valleys, 5-8 in the mountains. etc.briarhopper Thanks this. -
I bow to you U2. i am a closet meteorologist but I focus on hurricanes. I hit snow but nothing bad. but I have a rule with snow at least 10 MPH below posted speed (note at least) so I am parked up as I ran out of 10hr. I have 26 hours (with a 10 hr factored in) to go 12 hrs. This is why I have a goal (that was to be there 13 hours from now. and at least 3 other plans that get me there on time.

Sorry, I should clarify. I posted the links as tools you might find useful.
Those three are the ones I use almost everyday during winter.
I'm not trying to rub the current crappy weather in your face or pooh pooh you delivery gameplan.
Stay safe. -
no didn't take it as a rub but help. was going to swing by to try and meet you but got tied up fueling in Cheyenne and needed to keep moving.

in denver for christmas. great run to get me home. but ny 80 will mess with me a bit
-
Well just reread my last post. Should have read my 70 will mess with me a bit. It did. I really needed a 34 but FM got me a load from ID to FL and it pays pretty well. As in I deliver on thursday 12/29 and if I get nothing else this week it will still be a good week.
Cool news I knew I was going to be tight on hours to get to the TS closest to the TS and the WALMART 10 miles from the house asked that truckers not park there during the holidays to nclude this week. So I called the publix (superarket) manager that is like 2 miles from my house easy in easy out. Told him I needed a favor and asked if I could park up from 7pm to 5 am one time. He said I am welcome to park there any time as long as the truck is not there more than 24 hours per the agreement with the HOA that is behind them. So cool I have a place to park up any time.
