the biggest engine in Truck I saw was Cummins 19L in Kurgan Ballast trucktor.
MZKT uses marine engines too, aka QSK.

Ok, why not to pay some attention on class 5-6-7 cabovers for urban operations.

Lower speeds and that's why cabovers are safe enought!

They were built in SA but that series was last built here in the late 90's I think.
Mercedes have been building and assembling trucks in SA since 1962.
This is for the local market , about 6 to 8 000 units a year.
This includes Freightliner and Fuso brands that fall under Mercedes.
Cars for local but greater numbers for export.

    98989 Thanks this.

That brings back great memories. I spent years working, driving, repairing, rebuilding those New Generation Mercs. What a fantastic truck they were...simple,reliable,comfortable,easy to fix. They put the most money in my bank account above any other truck to date.

A popular modification in Ireland 30 years ago was to remove the nine speed ZF gearbox and fit a thirteen speed fuller 'box. The N/A 16 litre V10 320bhp unit could sing after that.
