What can you do with a pro-link IQ as far as changing horse power or torque?

That depends on the software package provided in the Prolink IQ.

Then yes, the tool could be used to change the engine rating.

    379wheathauler Thanks this.

I'm not a diehard Cat enthusiast. I'm sure Mr Haney could serve that answer right up for you.

Your not going to change any hp level without either the factory password or a working keygen. Cat flash files are pretty easy to get, it's getting a good working keygen that will do reason 5 that's hard.

Mr.Haney is the guy to get ahold of. He's not going to give you the tools to do it but he's got everything to make an older E run. I've heard he's got a good running 600hp modded flash file for an E I'm sure he would be glad to stick in your ECM. Then of course there's aftermarket when the stock cat files isn't enough.:biggrin_2559:

A pro-link cannot change the horsepower per say but it can change the rating of the engine. If its available in the ecm

For example alot of 475hp will have 4 options

    475hp & 1650 tq @ 1800 rpm
    475hp & 1650 tq @ 2100 rpm
    475hp & 1750 tq @ 1800 rpm
    475hp & 1750 tq @ 2100 rpm
