Not covered by insurance. My insurance is actually quite a bit cheaper than the OTR guys, though I don't have coverage for this sort of thing either.
I'll bet you that my day was worse than yours...

Most of the ones I know that have went over were hauling stuff that shouldn't have been in a dump trailer. Dirt is probably the most common, along with easily packed stuff like bean meal. Bigtrucksalvage.com always has wrecked dumps and they are always from going over. Some even still have the product stuck in the front.
My uncle lost his hauling dirt, it was a framed dump and didn't take the truck over.
A friend lost his but he deserved it, he was dumping road salt and though it was a good idea to back on top of the salt pile then raise the trailer.
It's pretty common here now to just leave the dirt to the dump trucks. Wet coal in the winter is another bad one. AK Steel won't allow scrap trucks in if they don't have a good tarp because one went over after the scrap froze to the trailer and they don't allow you to spray diesel in the trailer. I can't believe your insurance doesn't cover that, I mean it is an accident.

That sh it will buff out...... pick it up and carry on!!!!!
seriously tho, just some minor cosmetic work. Be glad you were not in that newer truck you were looking at a few months ago!!!
I laid a truck over once inside a salt shed in IL. Everything froze to the nose even tho we had sprayed it, but -38* will do that. The loader truck decided to try to get around me while I was dumping and he bumped me and over it went. Luckily the pivot bolt sheered off and they had it on camera, so i didn't get in trouble. the loader driver is no longer a ILDOT worker. -
It's always funny to watch new guys with they're trailer in the sky. They look up and see the clouds blowing by and they jump for a second. It's really deceiving but there there are guys that have no problem jerking on a raised dump trying to dislodge stuff.
