I guess it will be even harder to find a parking spot with everyone having to do a restart that includes 2 periods with a 1am to 5am time frame. #### the goverment.

What about guys like me hauling oversize? this time of year we can often only drive 8 hours in a day any way,(the days are too short) now we have to stop and take a mandatory 30 minute break so here we have 7.5 hours we can operate.
-
IF NOT FOR OOIDA WE WOULD ALL BE GOVERNED AT 65, ALL BE USING EOBRS, AN SO ON!! AND WE PROBABLY WOULD BE DRIVING BIG ORANGE TRUCKS!!!! GO OOIDA!!!!!! I will always be a member...
-
I had always used the reset, this new thing will screw me...
-
really nothing really changes til 2013 though...so all the safety nazi's and OOIDA have time to put this through the court ringer...plus a change of Admin (hopefully) after next year...guess we'll see
-
I look forward to everyone taking their 30 minute break in the fuel island....
Semi Crazy, runningman0661, virgil tatro and 3 others Thank this. -
Yeah , drivers approaching their 8 hours on duty may not find a place to park for 30 minutes .
That 30 minute deal isn't that bad though . E-logs can't tell when you're loading/unloading or in the sleeper . -
It won't really change anything for eLoggers. For the most part people don't charge as hard as they say they do. So the 30 minute break is going to a breeze for most everyone. It's going to be the "34" hour reset that messes people up.
So, let the lawsuits begin. In the mean time I know what I'm going to do next week at work.scatruck and airforcetoo Thank this. -
Really ? How about your split sleeper regs ? Hot fuel ? Unpaid detention time ? 100% FSC to the O/O ? OOIDA didn't do very well with those , did they ? Don't give them credit for keeping governors out of trucks . That doesn't happen because several studies showed making trucks drive slower than other traffic increases the risk of accident .

Maybe it's time to start a new thread with a Poll, "Does OOIDA suck or not"
