Well guys, I catch my flight in about 1.5 hrs. I just wanted to wish everybody a very Merry Christmas!!

Well, as fate would have it...
Got into the dock for my 'Christmas' load to get me home two hours early. However, they took nearly four hours to get me loaded.
I was the last truck out and they were shutting down until monday morning, right after I left.
Got to Loves, scaled the load...80.300.
Decided, since it was late, scales would be closed...I took a chance.
Made it to Fernley, NV (where I now sit), and so far so good.
Figured I burned enough fuel off now to where I should be pretty close.
Only two more scales to go: Rome, OR and Backwater, ID.
Since I won't be hitting those until after dark this evening, and since they're closed most of the time anyway, ... here's to hoping!
I'll have to be a bit overweight going into the Oregon scales, just because there isn't any fuel between Winnemucca and Nampa.

I had to put a sweater on to sip a mimosa in the courtyard this morning.

A beautiful winter day.

 

as expected today, my phone rings, asking me if I would go to the meat patch and pick up a pre loaded trailer and deliver it. "just trying to help the drivers out who spent too much for christmas, and no waiting the loads are ready."... Nope not this driver, I plan and save and don't over spend.

Besides I have an eye appointment tuesday, and a dental appointment thursday.
They really dislike it when I take two weeks off.

 

Well, I'm headed out wednesday for Brawley. They wanted me to go today, but when I found the DLD was wednesday afternoon, I told them I'd be there by then and not before.
Besides...my daughter is probably getting about ready for the old man to go.
