If all you knew about a particular restaurant is what you saw from the outside as in this pic:

would you even bother going inside? I didn't. This place was located right behind the parking area for Boar's Head Provisions in Brooklyn, where I was stuck all last week running shuttle loads from there to Virginia. I didn't even know this place was a restaurant until the last day when I was playing around on my GPS, and it said that it was a pizza restaurant. Well, I decided to check it out on line last night after I got home and I found this:

Apparently, this place has some excellent (although pricey) food. Most customers gave it 4 or 5 stars in their ratings and the comments were all very positive. Evidently I missed out on some good eats that was located in a location so close to where I was that I could see it from the mirror of my truck while I was parked. I guess the lesson learned here is not to judge a book by it's cover. What looked like crap from the outside is a well established restaurant with a good food reputation.

Merry Christmas to all of you and thanks for the miles you run to keep America strong. Thank you JohnBoy for this great read when I think I miss the road I come here and read about yall's adventures. After 30 yrs out there I got lucky 4 yrs ago and was offered a dispatching job with a small family owned company and love it. JohnBoy it is good to know that there are some drivers left from our my generation trying to educate new drivers how it used to be again thanks JB we are of an old mold of what truckers once were.

Thank you for the kind words and Merry Christmas to you too. I learned a very long time ago that the greatest gift someone could give is to help another person. I truly love this profession even after all this time. I lucked out when I found my present employer to hang my hat.

I write about my exploits, both the good and not so good to enlighten people about this career. I just happen to have 30 years doing it so I try to bring my knowledge to the table in the hopes it might help others.

Be safe in your travels and enjoy your holidays.

    Merry Christmas everyone!

My biggest thrill today is to watch my 3 year old grandson come over later and open his presents. Then I'll spend the rest of the day watching basketball. Lets Go Heat!

Yeah and it's a shame I didn't go in and check it out. Anyway, Merry Christmas John. Hope you and Lesli have a great day!

Here's a before picture of the inside of my home. I'll post an after one after the 3 year old grandson leaves later. This should be comical.

There aint anything good in swfl. I found a company in grand island nebraska that hauls 70 % of its own stuff. Thats worth its weight in gold. Its a flatbed co. And its small enuff to feel almost like they are being too intrusive. But, they just wanna get to know you
