Thanks! I generally run regional, but did run that one west turn and enjoyed it a lot and told Louie that I was open to doing them if and when he's in a bind and needs someone. I actually wouldn't mind doing it on a permanent basis, but my wife would never go for that.

My last 780 weighed in at 17,800 with me and 1/2 tanks of fuel. My new one with super singles is about 16,900.

Back to the same old grind. I load tomorrow night in Jacksonville for a Thursday delivery in North Carolina. Part of me was hoping to be home till next week but it wasn't to be. I just hope I get turned right around back home or out west. At least I get another day and a half home with my wife and these two Labs, that require far too much attention...... the Labs, not the wife.

Small world, I see you also ran tri-axles, that's how I got started into trucking, did that for 4 years running on this side of Pa, got to Penn state a few times taking a special sand for the football field.

Well I always wanted to do the OTR thing and 6 years later hear I am and I"m glad I took the chance. Anyways HAPPY HOLIDAYS and be safe.

I'm usually more over than under on my steers, something like 12,200-12,400 on average. in fact whenever I'm under 12,000 the front end feels too soft for me.

I stopped off at my truck to load all my things up. My wife did all my laundry, bed linens and restocked my pantry with all my dry goods. She spent the day yesterday cooking all my food just in case I go west this week.

I load tomorrow night at Anheuser Busch in Jacksonville at 9pm. I have to deliver before 1pm on Thursday. I'll leave the house about 3pm and start my 10 hour break as soon as I get there. I'll be able to get rolling about 3am Thursday to finish the 420 miles and deliver about 10am.
