Tankerman, Something does not sound right with the way the sleep center did your sleep study. They should have done it in one night in two steps, first step is to see that you have it,then they wake you up in the middle of the night around midnight at least that is how they did it for me, The second step is give you a sleep aid if needed and then you are hooked back up with a cpap machine that they control from out side your room and adjust the air pressure for your own air pressure and your done. The sleep center should have contacted an or your Pulmonology/ Sleep Medicine doctor to send orders to get your cpap with the correct settings, you should have had your cpap already and using it to get your readings to get compliant. You should not have to go back in a second time to get hooked up to a cpap to get tested again. Just sayin'

i do understand what your saying. i did my first test where they hook up several different wires. then it was lights out. was woken a couple of times thru the night i guess some wire fell off or something. i was woken up at 6am disconnected from all the wires and what not. then later that day on the 20th i got a phone call saying i tested positive for sleep apenea and that i would have to come back for another sleep where im now hooked up to the cpap machine like you said where they will adjust the machine so it works best for me situation. and the 2nd part happens on the 29th of december. safety in colorado says once i get my own cpap machine then i need to show my compliance for 2 weeks. if im not mistaken they are looking for 70% usage and i think dot is wanting 80% usage. either way its all just Bull*rap

DOT does not reqier anythang....there is currently NO dot guidlines or req. for cpap or sleep apnia.....this is 100% JBS and there B.S.tankerman1974 Thanks this.

It may not be Tankerman's fault, he may not be guilty of abandonment either - but that doesn't stop HireRight aka USIS from putting anything that JBS may send them on his DAC report - true or not.
That's the worst part of this system... there is no requirement for accuracy or truthfulness by the carrier, nor is there any requirement for documentation of anything they want placed on someone's DAC report. Sucks. All you can do is dispute it. -
I couldn't agree with you more. And because of them they are gonna lose another driver. I can't sit a month with any income. I have I think 7 apps out right now. As for the jbs truck and trailer I have no idea how I'm gonna get that back to colorado. Just like them and there BS policy I just guess its not my problem. Just like me sitting here with no income isn't there problem. One hand washes tje other.

My Buddy Gary went through this crap in November Tanker they came and got his truck nothing negative on his DAC as he was not DOT legal to drive due to JBS Policy.
I would not blame you for quickly getting a job. As for the CPAP I would not even bother with it unless you just want to use it that is on you. I would not sit for any amount of time without pay due to some test that a company ordered that is not a requirement of the Federal Laws, or Regulations. Bottom Line I would probably sue the piss out of any company that caused me economical strife due to some overzealous office jockey trying to make an impression that distracts from the fact that he is not doing the job he is being overpaid for....
Bottomline Tanker You have to take care of your FAMILY first and Dude I would not ever blame you or anyone for doing what you have to do to make money.....
JBS is not Let me Repeat this is not the "ULTIMATE" Trucking job nor is it the worst but If it does not work or puts you in a financial bind YOU have to make money, not lose money.hellomcflywakeup, robthesailor, Panhandle flash and 5 others Thank this. -
i agree when i did my recert the guy asked me a couple of questions i was truthful and that was that like i said before take this as a sign move on and let them come get their truck allot of companies are looking right now
tankerman1974 Thanks this. -
