The Lord was looking out for you for sure.

That was my first thought, but in Texas in October?
-
Yeah it was October but was actual a warm evening. There were wind gust though, some reaching on up there in speed. I am a proud person most of the time, but I have no problem telling you just how helpless you feel when all you can see is metal twisting around you. And my poor truck lol. I was told though the replacement the company bought is the same model kw and just as pretty lol. I just hope to be able to hop in her someday.

I wish you a full recovery. You never know.
I preach all the time on here. Nobody is exempt no matter how good you are.
With your good driving, it took 2 million miles. Someone else 500,000. All you can do is do your best everyday and stay away from bad habits. -
Had the same thing happen to me in a cruiser going to class early one morning, going up a slight hill. Run'n about 45-50 all of a sudden car goes sideways, nothing is responding, brakes, counter steer NOTHING! Slid about 20yards angled across the oncoming lane into the ditch hit a telephone pole which sent me into 2 spins hitting a pipe fence before coming to a stop. OUCH! No skids marks until I hit the grass. Roads dry and no mechanical failures on vehicle. Investigated by state troopers whom were totatly baffled and could not find a reason...
At that time I had driven 12yrs highspeed and pursuits with NO accidents. You are correct you feel totaly helpless and at the mercy of whatever GOD you believe in...Speedy recoverynetxjoe Thanks this. -

Well I will say, you never know what can happen. I got a text the other day about a coal bucket that went over the scenic view on rt 56 toward Johnstown in PA. If you have ever been in that area you know its steep and his steer tire blew and took him right off the side of the mountain, you should've seen the pictures....Horrible.

I've seen the way most of those guys drive...It's never a big surprise when they crash. -
Live and learn. Thing is, sometimes there isn't an answer. If you drive down the road sht will happen. Stay safe.
