That's all plates cost me! There's no need for me to lie here, it doesn't benefit me anyway.

Let me go through my books and find the AB registry receipt and I'll scan it for yeah guy.

Well aside from the fact that this thread was concerning rates for tractor/trailer loads and not straight truck work like your truck does for $50/hr and it being like apples to oranges...

I still cannot see how you could make money at those incredibly low rates and find having had my own fleet insurance and trucks licenced across Canada the cost for plates and insurance you've posted suspiciously low...

I'll simply suggest that, you're not doing anyone (including yourself and your driver) in this industry any favours working for those low rates. You're under selling your service in my opinion.

I find it hard to believe you can find a conscientous and qualified driver in Edmonchuk in today's enviornment for only $18,00 whether it's driving a straight truck or not.

I don't decide the rate's, the company I contract does all the ( Central Carriers )

I would like the rate's to go up but honestly I'm not complaining. Last 4 years running I've made over 100k per year. NOTE: I do not own the truck I am currently driving, I am just a driving driving a company truck. That body job I posted is the first truck I ever have bought - with that I hired a driver on it. I bought it to bring the stress levels down in my life. The extra money I am making on it is a bonus.

...and you are correct - I knew I should never trust the girls behind the counter :\

Hmm - well this truck has been pulled over multiple times and so far it has never been ticketed for being wrongly registered.

I'm figuring 15,000 kg's would be the right weight which costs $1,000.

Can you imagine the O/W fine if someone had been on their toes!

$469 + $9 service fee (document page 6, not Adobe page 6). You were looking at trailers.

    Page 8 for trucks.....

That's crazy that a trailer plate costs that much! $25 will buy you an Ontario plate for life.
