question, Went to my truck today to load some stuff on it, check engine light is on, checked fluid all around, did regeneration, still on. Have a KW right across the street but days off dont end until Thursday. What is the chances of getting the truck in Thursday and out friday? Are these places pretty quick or should I plan on spending the weekend at home? Just wondering what all of your experience with the KW shop is. They are normally closed on the weekend right? Let me know what you know. Thanks, Shifty.

well thanks Mr Tuttle, went to front door, was actually a gate and it was locked, live 80 miles away, trying to plan this week.....but none the less thanks for your advise, would never have had any clue without it.:biggrin_25525:
Really, how do these KW places run, are they fairly efficient, does Stevens have any priority at all? Thanks, Shifty.

No we dont get any priority. And the hours they work depend on the dealership.

I have been sitting here in Ohio broke down since Friday night. They repowered my load off of me Sat morning. Dealership finally opens tomorrow.

At what point do I start getting Alliance breakdown pay?

Why can't you use an outside service provider?

Biggest thing is it should all be covered under warranty

The other is there really isnt anywhere else around here to take it.

You're across from a KW dealer and there's NO ONE else in town that fixes trucks...I'll bet the farm there's a cob dealer as they're on every street corner!

So you'd sooner sit for days waiting for warranty than consider paying out of pocket. Explain that to us...how does this make business sense? Paccar has this great reakdown service called PACCENTRAL...Stevens should check it out.

No, Im 35 miles from the dealer. And no there is not anything else here but a TA and they said they couldnt work on that type problem. Have to get towed when the dealership opens, as that is covered by the warranty also. Ive never heard of a cob dealer. I even googled "cob dealer" and came up with nothing relevant, so Im not sure what your talking about. Also looked up that PACCENTRAL but I dont know what the deal is with that. Looks like some kind os service you have to sign up for.

So no I would not rather sit and wait, but I dont have much for choices.

because Steven's owns and controls the truck. We are NOT purchasing the truck, and all service/repairs have to be authorized by Stevens.

First and last day of breakdown are on you. Everything in between is paid. paid on full days only.
