Hello everyone, on 6 Feb 2012 I start orientation in Ellenwood Ga
-
If you get upset because you are told to shut up and listen while in a classroom enviorment, this industry is not for you. Crying? are you crying? Theres no crying in trucking!!! The info that is taught may save your life!!notezbngrn71 Thanks this.

Paradox, No crybabies allowed in trucking???? Why didn't my recruiter tell me that?!
Why are you jumping to the conclusion that I was told to shut up and listen? Maybe I got angry because the trainer yelled "NO CROSSTALKING" at my fellow classmate who was asking me that same thing that the trainer was explaining to the two people in front of us. The implication was not shut up and listen. It was "don't ask each other questions". That's what I got from it.
So no tears flow from your eyes you're angry... do you cuss instead? Maybe if I can do that, I can prove I belong in this industry.
The safety training that I received was excellent. You are right. It could save my life as well as others. -
Yeah, frank needs to work on his people skills. Even after orientation he's a smart butt. I figured it was because we were in orientation and newbies. Now I know its cuz he's got little man syndrome or something.

hi there,, how r you doing ?? was wondering if you have some time to chat about driving for roehl ?/
-
I figured this is an appropriate place to ask my question since this is a thread about Roehls orientation.
Its been suggested to me that Roehl can be a hard company to get into, does anyone have any info as what would keep me from getting into Roehl. I have a clean driving record so that shouldnt be an issue.
But I knew someone who had a clean driving record who tried to get in with them a few years ago and they declined hiring him. I never found out why.
They seem to be a decent company and thats where my hopes are. -
If you have a good work history and can physically pass the employment screening then there shouldn't be any issues. Unless you're in an area they hire. I would just call a recruiter and they will give you the answers you need. Good luck
