There's 17 pages of discussion on this forum. Some love 'em, many don't. Its still on the first thread page. I don't know them, but I don't want a wack pack radio.

 

We call them "Radiohacktive Radios" with their "super crap hack" mods.

 

i gotta say fellows i got a general lee from them and have heard nothing but comments on how it sounds. its still pretty new so who knows how long it will last lol.I know one thing if i ever need repairs it will not go back to them. ive seen alot of people who say it takes forever and i didnt like the way that as soon as he got my money he never returned any of my phone calls.i was actually going to buy my preditor antenna from him but he never called me back.ive seen alot of good things about sparkys here so i guess ill try him next

 

Most have been a RCI-2995. There is a guy with a YouTube video of what they did to his 2995. These guys are first order hacks! Your best bet would be to demand your money back now or have them to send the radio back as is and send it to someone who DOES have a clue.

Oh,and the only people who love these guys are the ones who are just as clueless as the guys doing the work.

 

I guess im just clueless! I know im getting out 4 or 5 miles at 1/4power and alot of the time when i talk there are people who tell me it sounds good.I have never had anymore power to it than that and have no idea what the insides look like!Its taking me several months just to get my antenna set up properly so maybe im a slow learner. some day i may even be as bright as you!

 

After you have pissed away thousand of dollars on clueless CB shops who charge $50+ for $5 dollars in parts and 10 minutes of work,bleed over on all 40 channels (that's not big power causing that) from your fresh hot rodded radio, $75.00 for a $15.00 echo board and my favorite-$350.00 for a $175.00 dollar radio then yes you will. And as far as "getting out 4 to 5 miles" That can easily be done with a unmodified radio,you can even talk around the country with a stone stock radio when conditions are right.

I'm not talking out of my butt here.I know what they do to radios,i know what effect those mods have and i know how much they screw people who work hard for what little money they make. These people pray on truckers because 95% of drivers dont know any better.

Cb shops are worse then the government when it comes to screwing people!
