i got a phone call from a crst recruiter, whom more or less, told me that i would split 5-6k miles per week @ $0.41 per mile payed to me . when i arrived at the terminal in ceder rapids Iowa i became aware of their least purchase program and from what i was being told it sounded like something i might be interested in . i was very fornicate to have been a signed as a co driver to an oo. i have never, in my driving career and i ve been driving since 91, seen nor experienced a co . that treated their driver's with such disrespect and with such disregard as i did driving for crst . the co told him that crst comes first and the driver's take a back seat .
he was under a load that he pu in new york that was going to se. Minnesota and was told to come to the terminal to pick me up and would not pay for the extra fuel . in between loads in mn he was told he had to go take a drug test , 40 miles from where we emptied out . then from there we got a load that loaded in west mn , 200 miles from where we were and they would not pay him the cost for fuel 40 miles back to where we emptied which was a total of 80 miles . we emptied out in denver and we went to ft morgan co a distance of 80 miles to pu a load of sugar only to have the trailer rejected . it was a crst trl. co. told him he would have to go back to denver and look for another empty and gave him 6 different distributors to where he might find a trl . not only did they not pay for the fuel for the 160 miles to denver and back to ft morgan but did not pay him for looking for their trl .
the truck was in the shop in nashville tn and he had to pay for my room and crst told him that if he didnt i would have to stay out in the cold . the trk was in the shop for 5 days . he had to pay crst $.06 per mile for me being in his trk . in other words , the oo payed for my bus ticket from fl and also my motel stay while i was there at the terminal for 5 days for orientation . we were averaging around 3000 miles to the trk per week , not 5-6k like i was told would happen . i was employed from 11-18-11 to 12-23-11 .
they will tell you in orientation not to believe what you read on these forums but don't take my word for it , go and see for your self.
i will start driving for panther next week . gl to you all and have a happy new year .
taking a back seat

Mommas_money_maker Thanks this. -
yes i did because of what i was told; $o.41 per mile is good money when your team driving and the freight was 98% drop and hook and no touch freight . we all make decisions based on what were told . we trust what we're told until we find out other wise . like i said, i was fortunate to have been a co driver to find out that i had been lied to .
