    Can anyone tell me the cheapest place to purchase an Antron 99? I know someone posted a link to copper electronics earlier and it was listed at $58.

    Also, if I purchase this, do I need to purchase the ground plane kit for it as well?

    Copper electronics has been known to soak you on shipping. H&Y electronics may be cheaper on shipping. Their A-99 is $59.95. Happy Hammer is correct you don't need the ground plane kit.

    I went ahead and ordered it from Copper but the shipping address isn't the same as the billing address on card so it may not go through. If it doesn't, I'll check the other business and compare shipping.

    Just spoke to Copper Electronics this morning and they said that the antenna should ship out today. So, maybe I'll have in the next few days. A friend of mine is helping me set it up. How tall are those things???

    I know one guy who had A99 on his trailer roof, horizontal, he said it worked very well with 500 watt linear.
