Well um now i know why there so many truck crash'es , there wacthing porn on there laptop next too the seat going down the road,
but anyway like everyboby says here , you pretty much get it free off the net and if not theres the bookstore on every corner of the truckstop, myself i rather get into personal proction device myself, something that would sell, i cant belive you need extra money, if your driving and makeing even 37 cents a mile thats 1100 a week more or less before taxes and i can live off that with change too spare, so i would'nt risk the federal boys coming knocking on door at midnight, thinking your promoting the adult stars in your vidio your selling, just saying everyboby after everyboby for no reason at all,

Why only porn?

But yeah, you're right. With Pirate Bay alone there is no need to buy anything. Almost any movie, album, etc,. is available and after watching delete & download a new one. there is no need to buy porn between the trailers off Cap'n Wack. Sorry cap;n Wack -
Reminds me of a joke................You know what they call a truck driver that beats off?...............................................................................................An Owner Operator!

I wouldn't see how you could make enough to even bother with it. Second, if they happen to be bootleg copies and you get busted, it's not a local crime, it's a FEDERAL crime, and a felony, so goodbye to your driving career. Fines for copyright infringement, $250,000 per offense and 5 years in jail, and when all is said and done, the movie companies can sue you also.
The guy who used to sell bootleg DVDs in West Memphis lipped off to me when I asked if they were first runs or copies, when he said copies, I told him it was illegal, he told me to $%^& off, so I contacted the FBI, they popped him and charged him with 1 count per DVD that he had on him........ -
You make excellent points. Personally, I have a webpage that I do not sell dvd's on, but on a rare occasion I will be in a position to order (wholesale) cases of dvds which I do (with my hunny) take my PERSONAL vehicle and sell these items. BUT I have a retail license in my state (where I stay when doing this) and I keep a copy of my retail license in a small binder. I also print address labels both my business name and the 18 U.S.C 2257 Compliance Notice to go on each DVD. I also keep in my little binder my wholesale order receipt as well as the shipping labels.
Now, since hunny is a driver and we are O/O he CANNOT transport legally these items across state lines to sell even with my business license. Once you have a physical presence inside state lines, you MUST have a state issued retail and use tax ID and license. So the driver interested in this needs to consider that. In order to get a R&U tax ID and license you must have a FEIN, same even to set up wholesale accounts for these types of products.
On point of the copyright, if you are burning them that is pirating and that is a whole can of Federal Messed Up you don't want. Not only is there the pirating and copyright issues, but you are crossing state lines in the commission of a felony. Bad idea. However, once you are set up as a retailer whether online, bricks and mortar and/or home parties (fun stuff) you can legally sell these without dealing with the publication companies as your distributor already has the licenses and the 18 U.S.C 2257 requires they keep the records of the age of actors, etc... Plus they MUST be in the original packaging unopened once the package is opened it's considered unsellable unless you have a business license to sell used items such as flea market license etc...
I check Drivers Licenses for age as it's just a good practice, since I do home parties as well this is a big requirement for me.
So my advise, unless you want to do this full time to do it LEGALLY I would skip on it. I was initially going to have my husband sell them across state lines but when I spoke to our attorney about it he turned 50 shades of white and said, and I quote "Don't be an idiot". So I took that as a big ole NO on that idea. He walked me through the process I mentioned above so that I could do it in my state.
Now there is another issues, and that is property owner rights. You hafta have the owners permission to be on their property selling your items and NO you can't sit on the street at the entrance as that is city/county/state property. So proximity can be an issue also.
And yes you HAFTA collect and pay taxes or set your prices to include the taxes. So again, while there is money there, if you like money more than fines I would do it right and legally or not do it at all.
You don't want to be making this face
when a cop asks for your business license and your R&U license.
OH AND if you are driving as a company driver, they ( the company ) might frown on it as if it's being done illegally, and the driver (selling the items) is acting in agency of that company during the commission of a felony the company can be charged as well under the agency laws individual to each state.crb Thanks this. -
I say yes. The world needs more porn.
I have a friend who downloaded porn from the net. He used Limewire. Now he is doing 18 years in Marianna, FL Federal Prison. Turns out those actors were not over 18 after all.
Why would you want to put yourself at risk for the few dollars you will make? The porn industry is not full of nice folks. It is mob. Stay away from trouble. -
It is illegal to advertise goods or services on the CB radio, although everyone seems to do it.

Sounds like it's more hassel than it's worth.
