Solo'd out this last Friday in Layton. Got into a filthy, stinky ProStar. Inside was never touched let alone "detailed", and the stench of cigarette smoke is overwhelming. As a non-smoker, it's pretty offensive; starting to soak into my clothes, and after driving for a while my hands smell like it... I'll deal with it because I have too, but it doesn't make me all that happy.

On the positive side, I like the way the ProStar drives! Better driving position than the T700, and it's nice to have controls on the wheel. Also rides nicer. Very small inside though, it's one of the 3/4 cabs. Bought some clear plastic bins at Costco today to organize stuff.

First load was a Coors repower from Layton to Bend. Got out of Layton just ahead of snow, thankfully. Blue skies and sunshine here. Feels good to be rolling alone, despite the condition of the truck. Hopefully the incense I just bought will mask the nasty cigarette odor...

Be safe out there all! Be seein' you on the road! :biggrin_25525:

Fabreeze and keep a window cracked 24/7 or at least 2-3 days. Give the seat and anything cloth a good soaking when you know you won't sit on it a while

What Cuzzin It said. I used three bottles of Febreeze extra streangth on my first truck and that pretty much took care of the smell.

    Good luck out there,

get a steering wheel cover...the nicotene will NEVER come out of the steering wheel. Took me three weeks to figure that out when I got mine (which was completely detailed...THANK YOU ROB IN PENSACOLA!!)

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! The incense seems to be helping, but I'll buy a bottle of Febreeze tomorrow. Looks like I might be here in Bend for a while, so I'll likely have time. At least I found a nice parking spot behind a Costco, Whole Foods, Safeway, Barnes & Noble, Blockbuster, etc... Rented a movie today, took a walk downtown, just generally relaxed. Would like to be on my next load, but at least Bend is nice and the weather is fine.
