We have steep roads but these are an overkill even with these loads.They sometimes use 3 trucks when 1 will do.

250t, can't really understand why 2 trucks was needed. It's so cold here now it's not even slippery -

but i saw lot of pictures where they use 5X nicolas big 4 and 5 axle trucks to pull 300ton transformer
2x SLT with 8x4 can do this
or maybe they go north in africa where maybe road condition require this?otherwise i cant see any reason to use anything more than 8x4 or eventually 8x6
one company from my town regulary haul 500t gross weight with just 2tractors

here they drive 500t gross with 2x 4160 8x6 mp3
during hill roads(off highway country road lot of hills one is 20km long 8% with lot of serpentines where load go 11m from road on side
like here
.... so there they have traction problems because lot of section on this road are in shade so roads are always wet.... on high altitudes and they attach another 6x6 WSK tractor
SLT by Titan.
Mainly 4156 6X6 but also seen 4656 8x6
there is no even this model
you can find 33xx, 38xx or 40xx (40 if it is build from rigid chassis not tractor)
4axle can be 41xx 44xx and 48xx
also by my knowledge mercedes never had xx56
50/54/58/61 as euro 3
51/55/60/65 as e4/e5
as much i notice lot of guys from south africa use 4860 /4861 8x8

Nope, I live a couple of km from there and the 3d was just there not doing anything what I could see
(sick, free week and still looking at truck boards) -

Don't know. It's almost flat all the way. Just a small gradient after the school but nothing to talk about. Or is it some stupid law requirement? I don't have that big knowledge in those special transports. They are boring, icy Norwegian back roads is what I prefer

The company (Rotran) that operates those huge Nicolas and Pacific trucks is part of the biggest electricity utility in the world.
They always do things in an overkill way.The trucks/trailers often weigh more then the load.
