Read their Mission and core values for a good laugh. Safety is not first, they have no integrity and they sure do not respect the drivers. As a driver you are a instrument to their wealth. They talk out of both sides of their mouth, and have knife at your throat.:biggrin_2552: When hired the group of 6 people were told we would be starting a new account, that the monies would be a salary for about 3months. After 6months the salary has never been met nor has the pay increase as promised. They do not reimburse for tolls or other expenses as told they would. In 6months my check has never been correct. We were told that we would have weekends off and that the schedule would be monday through friday. This too has not been the case. We are not paid for sunday loads and are expected to work free on sunday. Don't complain as they often tell you someone will fill your truck. They try to get every driver to use an account they have set up for ease of getting monies. What they do not tell you is every time you swipe the card to get your monies it cost you $5.00 plus the bank charges of $3.95 and the atm charges of $1.95 which is taken from the requested amount. So there is no misunderstanding the monies Iam talking about are your earned monies that you put into this account. Thus this post has nothing to do with a company making money, and has everything to do with cheating or taking advantage of the drivers. Thus no respect. These are just a few of the problems that I have encountered. Welcome to trucking.

The title of your thread says Schneider is a rip off yet you failed to say why. How about more of the story?

If your mad because they are out to make money then I guess they should change their policy just for you and be a not for profit organization? Would that make you feel better?

Two options, then. 1) Lease purchase or 2) Owner-operator.

Aren't all companies trying to make a profit?

He has three posts and all are bashing schneider, he says they make you use your own money then he says you have an accident thats not even your fault they make you park the truck and then walk home...........Guess he really doesn't like schneider so he joins here to persuade other's to not join schneider as a driver......... well he's convinced me to quit....... quit reading anything he posts that is....

To the Original Poster - when you have a load, you get paid by the miles, you don't get paid by the day or by the hour. 99% of shippers don't ship on Sundays, so you are probably talking about having the load with you over the weekend?

If you are trying to have a trucking job where you are home every weekend and still expect to make good money working for a company with 10,000+ trucks, you are thinking wrong.

Try working for a smaller company that hires only 2 years experience like mine does, and you can be home every weekend and make a good mileage rate.
