Having no experience in the industry, not knowing how to economically operate a class 8 vehicle - you need a truck lease like you need a barrel of monkey crap. Some of the trainers who are lease-ops try to push it on newbs, but I recommend you drive on the company side a year or two - and get some business smarts - before you even think about it.

 

well i just recieved a call that my application was reviewed and it would seem as they have some more qualified applicants!!! Oh well, that sucks! Was really hoping to go to Prime! I thought they were taking people with NO QUALIFICATIONS!!?? But anyway, off to the second option I guess. Thanks for all the input.

 

Is your MVR clean? Maybe it has something to do with your location (IIRC you were over in eastern NC, right?)... Sorry to hear Prime didn't work out for ya, but don't give up. Best of luck finding a company that's the right fit for you!

 

yea im in east nc, about 1 hr east of I95. My mvr is perfectly clean. Maybe im just to off the beaten path. Im not giving up, I have an offer from USA through driver solutions right now, pending start date of 1/23 if all goes ok with app. thanks though

 

Sarge... inquire over at Swift first. They get a bad rap, but I know a lot of folks who are perfectly happy there. You might inquire as to this from a gal who goes by "Injun" here on TTR - she used to drive for Prime too. By all accounts USA Truck is awful.

 

Hey Sarge, I live in eastern nc too. Greenville, NC I've been with Prime since july 2011. I would ask for some answers why!
