They only gave me two or three days notice. My file somehow got overlooked
for some months. I passed anyway that was in 2008.

Plumcrazy, was this your new-entrant audit, or, a random compliance audit?
-
When they call , IF you dont like there terms , Tell them "Thats not acceptable!! I OBJECT!!" AND they must send it in writing , dont ever let some nameless ,faceless govt offical push u around ! ...be polite but firm....and use the word object a lot . It means you are not waving your rights! Govt officals want you to wave your rights ...so they can do what they want. They like it when u dont OBJECT
-
what did i tell you all that worry for nothing, glad all good
Mr. PlumCrazy Thanks this. -
I figured he needed to stop at a scale house and write a few warm-ups.

Yea thanks for that phone call after I talked to you I laid everything out He glanced over it and chatted a little It seem more like a friend coming over and giving pointers than an audit
-
Must be the season.. Officer Smith with the GA DPS just called me and set an appointment for next Thursday. They apparently don't do house calls. She's faxing a letter with a list of stuff I need to bring to their office.

Apparently the rules set by the FMCSA on new entry audits are open for interpretation just like the IRP rules. I clearly remember the documents sent to me highlighted must be conducted in your place of business. Guess people in IL complained about having someone come into their home.
Each state gets federal money to do these. Im glad they are doing it. Cleared up many things I misunderstood. -
This must be a joke coming from someone living in CA.
Who said anything about being pushed around? They are calling to set-up a "free pass" audit to make sure you are keeping your business compliant.Mr. PlumCrazy and Injun Thank this.
