I finish my 3 day orentation today. I also got a brand new truck. It's got 71 miles on it. I all so got a check for $1000.00 dollars .unlike TMC that will screw you out of a bonus then send you out with a trainer for two weeks. I already got a load and no trainer. I did have to lift a tarp twice with a physical therapist . He stated that I was in very good shape. Nothing against tmc drivers, but after my experience with them. I would not wipe my ### with thier toilet paper. Sorry but that is just how I feel.

Dropdeck, congratulations!!! It sounds like the latest company will work out much better for you.

I'm still trying to understand how someone can determine from a single lift or two that you will end up with future injuries of this nature. I believe you can injure your back if you routinely hyperextend your spine. For example, if someone deadlifts weekly and consistently finish their lifts by hyper extending, there is a good chance they could have issues sometime in the future. However, after seeing you lift a tarp which could have put you slightly off balance followed by making a decision like that. Puzzling…

In the long run, it sounds like the PT did you a favor. Best of luck to you.

Hey TMC drivers, todays the first day of my CDL school. I will be doing the part time class, so I can continue to work my day job. I'm VERY nervous, as I will be leaving a life long career, and I dont want to be making a mistake. Can anybody out there give me the little "push" I need to stop stratteling the fence one way or the other?
Also, TMC drivers, has the company purchased any new tractors lately? All the threads I've found state your running Peterbilt 379's. How old is your truck, and how many miles are on it? When do they usually swap out trucks?
