Probably more like our Governor and the DPS keeping that money in their budgets versus paying officers to go all over the state visiting carrier offices. Just another cost shifted to the carrier. I'm used to it.
In their defense, about the only benefit of an office visit would be to observe that the address actually exists, sensitive files are in a locked place, and there is actually a business going on there. I guess they figure if your presenting valid registrations/insurance along with the rest and aren't out of business by the time they call, you must be ok there.
The list is all the key files so I'll be carrying in a cardboard box full of stuff. Basically the entire top drawer of my locking file cabinet. No big deal though, it's all there so I'm not worried about it.
She stressed about 4 or 5 times that it's STRICTLY EDUCATIONAL and they would supply FREE FORMS if I needed them. mmkay..
