Yeah. The nurse practitioner's response when I brought that up was, "Well, maybe their regulations changed recently." Uh...no. And you know what? After the accident, I was grounded for 2.5 years and had to spend about $15,000 of my own money (and remember, back in 1975, that was MUCH more than it is now) to prove to the FAA medical staff that I would never have a seizure in the air. Plus, as the pilot-in-command of a large jet carrying passengers, I had to take very stringent medical checks from FAA-designated physicians - not a nurse practitioner - every six months. 37 years, no recurring anything.

She knew about all of that, but it didn't count for anything except, "Thank you for being honest." Stevens' policy is simple and inflexible: if you have EVER been unconscious, you will not be hired. EVER. So, do not let your children fall off anything and go unconscious.

On to Plan B, whatever that will be.

Man den, you are one of my faves too. Sorry man.....they get crazy downstairs.

Albuquerque NM just repowered my load, ran short of hours for OTD. DM said hes not sure about letting me take a reset, even though I dont get any hours back for a full day....oh well, it is what it is. Well the verdict for my first full week solo, is...... 3180 miles.
    LOVING IT!!!!
Oh yeh just watched a CRST driver take the front end of her truck off and puncture a whole in her trailor in the same turn......visualize that!!!!

Well I guess I won't request you for a student, Denali. Sorry to hear the news.
Be sure and not fly a loaded 18 wheeler over any populated areas either! :biggrin_2551:

Sitting here in Holcomb waiting for a load. DLD of 0825 tomorrow am.
Looks like I got out of the way of the storm in Denver last night, just in time. Once I dropped south of Eads, it was clear skies, colder than a well diggers..., and windy.
But made it to Pepsi with my load. Parked in the their parking lot up front at midnight and slept until the 0530 wake up call.
Now I just sit and wait for my load to be ready.

Randall want to know when I'll be coming thru Albuquerque. Apparently didn't like my answer: "somewhere between 0900 and 2100 friday."
Who knows when Tyson will have the load ready?!

Heading for National City. At least it will be warm. Will stop to see my son and daughter in law before heading to Irvine for the second drop.

Made the mistake of eating the buffet here in Garden City TS. You'd think I'd have learned by now.

Figure next time in the yard (around end of Feb) I will have to give this truck up anyway. Too many miles. (over 400,000). Grad fleet is short of trucks as is D&D. Bunch of new ones coming in, so I expect to be in a 700 soon.
Was going to try and hold onto this one until the lease was up (august), but they'll sneak the new QC on board when I'm in and the body work needs to be done (students), so might as well plan on an extra couple days.
    DEF, here I come...sadly.

Meanwhile, look for Bill Cheney to pull the plug permanantly by summer's end, then look for Jr to be in his place.

    Well...back to sleep.

Why do I picture a truck rear ending itself? :biggrin_2552:

DM can't stop you from doing a reset... No hours for 24, plus the 6 or more from today, and then use the rule about running during 12 am to 5 am, and you have a reset. Stevens for some reason thinks resets are bad.

Sounds like a hard jack knife turn.

    Two things:

I would have liked being your student. I have much to learn--you have much to teach. Bummer.
I was a cop in National City long ago. Tough place to be a cop back then.

I really hope contractors/ o/OS have a line 5 for personal use. I don't like the idea of calling in to get authorized to bobtail in my own hooptie.

Yeah I can picture that. CRST owes me a few thousand dollars from last month.
